The rules for using SecondPass
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the SecondPass website, application, and related services.
Last updated: March 21, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using SecondPass, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree to provide accurate information and keep it reasonably up to date.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account unless caused by our own misconduct or security failure.
3. What SecondPass provides
SecondPass is a study and review tool that helps users log missed questions, review concepts with spaced repetition, and monitor progress over time. It is offered for educational and organizational purposes only.
SecondPass is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to UWorld, exam boards, medical schools, or licensing organizations.
4. Trial, paid plans, and billing
- New accounts may receive a 7-day no-card trial with capped access to core features.
- Trial usage may be limited, including limits on study plans or logged questions.
- The trial does not auto-bill. If you do not upgrade, your account may move into a limited-access state.
- Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe and are subject to the pricing displayed at checkout.
- If you start a paid subscription, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.
- You can manage cancellations and renewals through the billing portal when available.
Unless required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable once billed. We may change pricing prospectively, but any new pricing will apply only after notice and a future billing cycle.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to violate any law or another person’s rights.
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to use.
- Interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the service.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the service except as allowed by applicable law.
- Use SecondPass to store unlawful, abusive, or malicious content.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit to SecondPass, including study notes, reflections, question logs, and tags. You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely as needed to operate and improve the service for you.
7. Our intellectual property
The SecondPass service, branding, design, software, and related materials are owned by SecondPass or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the service.
8. No medical or academic guarantee
SecondPass is a study aid, not medical advice, tutoring, or a guarantee of exam outcomes. You are responsible for how you study, what content you review, and any decisions you make based on the service.
9. Service changes and availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features from time to time. We try to keep the service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
10. Termination
You may stop using SecondPass at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the service or other users, or if required by law.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SecondPass is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of the service.
12. Changes to these terms
